Vacation: Cousins

We just got back from a long trip into the mountains with family. The places themselves were beautiful, but most of our time and attention was on COUSINS! They played hard, and slept very little. I look forward to telling the teenage Will and Carson how they set their alarms for 6 AM to finger-knit before camp.

  1. What fun! You may be surprised--the boys may not need you to tell them about this waking up at 6:00 to finger knit--they may always remember it themselves. And what is finger knitting?

  2. Hi dear Alice, Yikes - you're right. They are at the age when there is no more memory control. :) So, finger knitting involves wrapping yarn around the base of each finger, and then flipping it over until it forms a long & pretty much useless chain. Still, it's fun to measure and it makes them feel very productive. And it's good for fine finger skills, too. XXX, Alice the 2nd.
